Discussing Rush as if he is alive is an admission that listeners were suspending disbelief all along — believing lies because they are comforting.

I was listening to WDWS, our local talk radio station, this morning. Not only do they still run ghost Limbaugh; the "guide host" Ken Matthews refers to Rush in the present tense.
